Zimbabwean-born, my journey has taken me from studying graphic design and photography in Durban to working in Johannesburg, New York, Oslo, and Cape Town as a creative director in advertising. But it was three solitary months in Alaska and Canada that awakened a passion for storytelling.
Returning to Africa, I began freelancing as a journalist in 2010. In 2014, I became Editor of Africa Geographic, publishing features on conservation, culture, and wildlife. Later, I co-founded Safarious, an online magazine and platform connecting travellers and travel operators across the continent. I led the relaunch of Getaway, South Africa’s oldest travel magazine, guiding it toward a more adventurous readership, and I am currently the Editor of African Birdlife magazine.
Based in Cape Town, I continue to freelance—always guided by a love for Africa and a desire to tell stories that matter.
